About Buoyant Sea

Hello, I'm Sonya. I moved to Warragul in 2003, with my family, to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and connect back to a country lifestyle.

Coming from a policing background I was familiar with stress and stress related illness, and the impact it has on not just the individual, but also those close to them.

In 2007, I left the police force to pursue a career in building design. My passion was to design affordable, sustainable homes that contribute, not just to a healthy lifestyle, but to a healthy planet, and it's this, that eventually lead me to where I am now. I was investigating ways to enhance and enrich lifestyles, via natural and simplistic means, when I discovered floatation and salt therapy. I began floating on a regular basis because of the profound benefits I noticed after my very first float. Not only did it reduce my stress levels, it also reduced the constant pain I was experiencing in my back, hips and knees. It was so remarkable, that I just knew, this was something I had to share with the community.

So, in 2017, after careful planning, the dream of Buoyant Sea was realised.
